Cult Pens

Kaweco Sport Metallic Violet

In 2015 a pen with this uncommon metallic finish was released. It is the Kaweco Sport Metallic Violet. As far as I know, this pen was released for the UK store Cult Pens as the exclusive European retailer.

The pen is a Skyline Sport, which means it has chrome trim: silver colored metallic medallion with Kaweco logo, silver colored "KawecoSport" engraving on the cap and a silver colored steel nib. The pen has the barrel, section and cap with a metallic, smooth and shiny finish.

Note: This pen was also released in the USA exclusively by Goulet Pens.

Fontoplumo

Kaweco Classic Sport Mocha

The Kaweco Classic Sport Mocha was released in 2016 by the Dutch store Fontoplumo as an exclusive edition of the Kaweco Classic Sport in the color Mocha. It has the 3 plastic parts of the same color - Mocha - and gold trim, as characteristic of the Classic Sport Series.

In a hard to explain move, this pen was also released, short time after, as an exclusive edition of the Australian Store Notemaker, with the name Caramel. However, they proved to have the exact same color.

Kaweco Sport Sunrise and Sunset

In 2018, Fontoplumo decided to release a new exclusive edition of Kaweco Sport fountain pens, in bright yellow, but this time in two variations:

Kaweco Sport Sunset (Yellow GT, Classic)

So, for the first time, an exclusive edition was available both with chrome and gold trim. The pens had no special store-related engraving but were presented with a special postcard inspired in rays of sun.

Ths color of the Sunrise/Sunset edition is just a little darker and has a warmer hue than the Kaweco Bunt Sport Cab Yellow.

The colors are very hard to distinguish; the Sunrise/Sunset Yellow are darker and have a warmer hue.

Kaweco Sport Coral by Fontoplumo

In 2020, another exclusive edition was released by Fontoplumo: the Kaweco Sport Coral by Fontoplumo. As the previous exclusive model from this store it was also available in two variations:

This edition as some very special features. It has a very unusual coral color on the 3 plastic components - barrel, section and cap. On the cap there are, in oposite facets, two different engravings/printings: on one side there is the traditional "KawecoSport" in siver or gold, according to the trim color; on the other side there is a special engraving "CORAL BY FONTOPLUMO". Additionally, with this pen, the guilloche pattern is revived, puting some extra detail on the barrel and on alternate facets of the cap, in the same way it was used on the previous guilloche versions.

Galen Leather

Kaweco Sport Cognac

In 2020, the Turkish store Galen Leather released a special edition of the very famous Kaweco Sport Cognac, previously released by Seitz-Kreuznach. The two editions have the same overall characteristics, including colour, with just a minor difference: this version has, on the facet opposite to the one with "KawecoSport" engraving, the engraving "GALEN LEATHER CO.".

Many questions are raised up about the colours of the Cognac Kaweco pens. The colours are the same, as it can be checked in photo, however, due do lighting conditions and "mutual reflections" some differences may be aparent.

In 2020, Galen Leather announced the release of the Kaweco Sport Violet. The pen was released by the end of May and sold out in less than a week.

Goulet Pens

Kaweco Skyline Sport Metallic Violet

In 2015 the Kaweco Skyline Sport Metallic Violet. As far as I know, this pen was released for the American store Goulet Pens as the exclusive USA retailer.

This pen was also released in Europe exclusively by Cult Pens.

JetPens

Kaweco Sport Music Print

In 2013 [date be confirmed] the American store JetPens released their exclusive Kaweco Sport Music Print fountain pen. This edition is a Classic Sport, which means it has gold trim - gold colored medallion with the Kaweco logo on top of the cap, gold colored engraving on the cap and gold plated steel nib.

The pen has a black barrel and white section. The cap is also white and has imprints on 6 of its 8 facets. In alternate facets it has musical notes printed in black. In two oposite facets it shows the usual "KawecoSport" engraving in gold and "www.jetpens.com", also in gold.

Manufactum

Kaweco Classic Sport 1935 Guilloche

In the year 2000, Kaweco teamed up wih the German store Manufactum and released an exclusive edition, the Kaweco Classic Sport 1935 Guiloche.

This pen was black, with gold trim and it showed the guilloche engraving on the barrel and the cap, reminding the same kind of engraving that was present on the Kaweco Sport pens from the beginning of the 20^th Century, with one major difference: this new version had the guilloche engraving on the cap only in alternate facets. In fact it is the same kind of guilloche engraving of the Kaweco Sport by Diplomat series.

Note: there is no clear difference between this Kaweco Classic Sport 1935 Guiloche and the regular Kaweco Classic Sport Guiloche Black. It seems to have started as an exclusive edition for Manufactum that was successful enough to get a place in the regular edition of the Classic Sport series.

Mostwanted Pens

Kaweco Classic Sport Back Macchiato

Kaweco Classic Sport Black Macchiato

In 2018, the Kaweco Classic Sport Black Macchiato was released as an exclusive edition for German store Mostwanted Pens.

This was a black pen (barrel and section) and a Macchiato/Cappuccino cap with gold trim. It is interesting to note that the nib and feed used on the assembly of this pen were of an older model.

Note: I was once informed by a member of Kaweco staff that the pens made of parts with different colors are not official releases from Kaweco, meaning they don't leave the Kaweco factory that way and that they are assembled buy the seller. That raises an interesting question about 3 other special editions that were made available. [to be completed] However, this pen has gold trim that had to be specially made, because the regular Kaweco Skyline Sport Macchiato/Cappuccino has chrome trim.

Notemaker

Kaweco Classic Sport Caramel

In 2016, the Australian store Notemaker (now called Milligram), announced the release of the exclusive edition Kaweco Classic Sport Caramel, shortly after the Dutch store Fontoplumo released the Classic Sport Mocha. It has the 3 plastic parts of the same color - Caramel - and gold trim, as characteristic of the Classic Sport Series.

Note: The Caramel and the Mocha have the exact same color.

Seitz-Kreuznach

Kaweco Sport Cognac

In 2015 or 2016 the German store Seitz-Kreuznach released an exclusive edition of the Kaweco Classic Sport in the color Cognac and it was a color that proved to be very sought after as the time passed.

This pen belongs to the Classic Sport series, which means the 3 plastic parts are made of the same color - Cognac - although fully transparent, and has gold trim, seen on the gold plated medallion with Kaweco logo on the top of the cap, the gold color "KawecoSport" print on the cap engraving in one of the facets of the cap and the gold plated steel nib.

Kaweco Sport Cognac Variations

Some years later, in 2018, Seitz-Kreuznach released two new pens they called Kaweco Sport Cognac Variations. these pens were likely a way to put at use and sell the spare parts that were left from their Kaweco Sport Cognac on their stock.

They were called:

Kaweco Sport Cognac Variation 1 - Transparent cognac barrel, clear transparent section and cap. Gold trim.
Kaweco Sport Cognac Variation 2 - Clear transparent barrel and section and transparent cognac cap. Gold trim.
